Biography
Sally Gunnell is one of Britain's best-loved (and best) athletes. She won Olympic Gold in the 400m hurdles at Barcelona in 1992, and is the only woman in history to have held the four major titles of Olympic, World, European, and Commonwealth Champion at the same time. Since retiring in 1997 she has maintained her place in the hearts of the public through her work on TV, commentating for BBC Sport until 2006 and being a passionate supporter of Sport Relief, for which she tried her hand at show jumping in Only Fools on Horses. Sally is an energetic mum of three but still finds time to do all she can for various charities to promote a healthy and active lifestyle and to spearhead campaigns for the British Heart Foundation, Cancer Research UK and Race for Life. Sally's also a self-confessed chatterbox so if you catch her at any of the McCain Roadshows then she'll be more than happy to have a good old natter about athletics, personal motivation, or what she does to keep her boys, Finley, Luca and Marley healthy and active.
