Young Athletes League
The Young Athletes League is the UK’s only structured out-of-school athletics competition and, with more than 450 clubs involved, it’s the largest league in the country. Over 10,000 talented 11-16 year olds compete regularly in all track and field disciplines, and the Young Athletes League has been a springboard for some of Britain’s greatest Olympians since its foundation in 1974.
The league is divided into 5 regions (North England, Midlands, South England, Scotland, and Northern Ireland) and 3 levels of ability (Premier, First, and Second Divisions). Those who shine in their local division get a shot at glory in the Young Athletes League National Final in September.
